When I was offered a free Phish ticket while hosting some friends who were in town for the show - I of course said yes! Having worked years in a college-area record store, I’m very familiar with the lore of Phish. Let me just say, this experience lived up to it. As you can imagine, I didn’t catch much video - but it’s an experience I’ll never forget.

Tom Evanchuck (7/29/22)
Having a chance to catch Tom Evanchuck on the patio at Forest City Brewery is a no brainer. As you may also remember, he was my first house concert back in 2010, and this performance also saw him having the same stage partner as he did at my place! I discovered this after Tom pointed me out to the crowd, and ed nothow he’d recently found that video I posted and was able to re-learn some of the songs they performed - over TWELVE years ago - and were playing them at this show! That really touched me, that my efforts in capturing and posting this content could play some small role in helping artists create (or re-learn) content to play. I’m so glad I was there for that mention.

Funk N Flow 2022
Finally, my first weekend event at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park! I’ve been going during the week to swim for years, but to finally see the full campground and music festival experience was a whole ‘nother level. Had some great homies from Nelsonville Music Festival up joining us. Swimming in the quarry during the day is what really made this event. Can’t wait for another one!

Eilen Jewell (7/6/22)
After catching Eilen Jewell in the Tavern before, back in 2012 & 2013, I was happy to get back and see this venerable performer.

The Chicks (6/27/22)
A chance to see The Chicks with Patty Griffin opening, at Blossom Music Center? Yes please. As always, sitting on the lawn with friends is delightful.

Matthew Fowler (6/16/22)
Only a few people made it out to this show, but sometimes that can create some of the best interactions with the artist. Matthew Fowler is a total sweetheart, and was every bit as good as I was hoping. BTW, the vegan food at The Winchester is no joke (delicious!).

Lucius (5/17/22)
Great to have a friend from Columbus coming up for this show. These ladies have been killing it lately!
Opening was Celisse, who I really did believe loved us.

Interpol (5/8/22)
Seeing Interpol at the Agora again after many years. This time it was great to see Matthew Dear & Tycho added to the bill. Matthew Dear brought an interesting dance partner, and Tycho sounded like Tycho. Didn’t capture any video of Interpol, and glad I went, but probably don’t need these artists live again.

Big Thief (4/22/22)
"At Friday night’s sold-out Agora concert, red and yellow lights spun over Lenker, guitarist Buck Meek, bassist Max Oleartchik and drummer James Krivchenia, as Big Thief transformed the whimsical track into a fiery, gritty rock-out.
That twist, along with other subtle shifts and moments during Big Thief’s show, added a little bit more magic to the band’s music.
Of course, the music stands strongly on its own. In the past few years, the indie-folk group has quickly risen in acclaim, headlining larger and larger venues around the world and earning several Grammy nominations along the way."

Opening was Kara-Lis Coverdale.
