Travis (2/11/25)

It has been a pretty rough beginning of the year, and I had chosen to not see some shows - including ones that I even had tickets for (Joy Oladokun, Guster, ugh), but I did make it out to see this Travis show at the Agora.  Going back and trying to figure out when I saw them last, I realized that it was before I started my blog (9/13/00 at the Agora), but I did post about them here - talking about how nice it is having just moved to a city where I don’t have to drive two hours back home after the show.  Reading that was just a little extra motivation to make sure I made it to this show - and I’m so glad I did!

They sounded great. It wasn’t a huge crowd, which I’ll always appreciate.  Even got a nice spot up front for some good video.  They’re such a delightful and down-to-earth band.  Fran in particular is a real character.  I ran across a podcast he did with Bob Lefsetz.  Very entertaining.  And their new album is as good as anything they’ve done!

Iron & Wine (8/20/23)

Iron & Wine is one of those artists that I’ve casually been collecting their music through the years, but have never saw in concert.  It was a treat to get to see him at the Agora, and I thoroughly enjoyed the very unique visual performance that accompanied the music.

I was able to see Sunny War at Nelsonville Music Festival, but was really excited to see them in this space.
